We are the Grand Rapids chapter of the Democratic Socialist of America.

The DSA is a big tent organization of leftists working together to build people power. Power to the people! We want to radically democratize society and the economy. We are for workers rights, housing justice, and ecological sustainability.

Our chapter meets the first Saturday of each month for our chapter meetings.  You can see upcoming meetings and social gatherings on our Events page. All are welcome to attend. The DSA is a dues funded organization.

We are an organization run by regular folks volunteering their time to build a world that works for us all. Please consider joining. If you live in the counties of Kent, Muskegon, Ottawa, Ionia, Montcalm, Mecosta, Barry, or part of Newaygo, we’re your local chapter!

Drop the Charges!

On May 15th, four community members were arrested by GRPD while peacefully protesting the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. This is a gross overstep of the police and a clear repression of protected political speech. Read more in our blog post.
